One of the primary ethos of the foundation is development of rural India. For this to happen, focusing on employment, education and empowerment of women is fundamental and the need of the hour, especially during the pandemic. However, employment in rural areas is on the rise and often hindered when educated and skilled youth don’t have a platform to look for jobs. Unlike colleges and universities in the cities, where campus placements is a thing, students of rural areas are bereft of this privilege. This creates a gap that has kept most students of rural India in their villages.
Understanding how important it is to bridge this divide, Satya Foundation has successfully organized multiple job fairs in a span of six years from 2016 in the Baghpat constituency, Uttar Pradesh. With 40+ companies participating in this job fair and coming forward to employ qualified youths from rural India, the Foundation was able to provide jobs for more than 8000 students. Some of the companies that participated in the job fair are Aditya Birla Group, Sun Life Insurance, Outlook Group, Big Bazaar, Maruti, Navbharat Fertilizers, Tanya Motors and Wonderland IT Solutions and LIC. The success of these initiatives has motivated us to keep organizing more of such job fairs in the future.
